It is exactly seven days since Reykjavík Trópík 2006.
Over this week, the newly born Icelandic outdoor festival has been enjoying rave reviews from all the local press as well as enthusiastic comments and remarks from the many concert-goers who attended the initiative during last week-end. We are honoured by such positive feedback and proud to finally say: this first edition of Reykjavík Trópík was actually a great success.
The organizers of Reykjavík Trópík would like to take the opportunity to express their deep thankfulness to many people:
Tuborg and KB Banki for the excellent service and support provided to the festival.
Rás2 and XFM for the extensive radio coverage and the enthusiasm shown towards the initiative.
66° North for keeping our staff warm over the weekend.
The good people at the Reykjavik Town Hall (with a special mention to Dagur) for the attention and support they showed towards the event.
The dozens of voluntary workers for the help provided and keeping things running smoothly during the festival days.
The technical crew for their admirable demonstration of efficiency and professionalism, which has even been praised by all our guests from oversea.
And especially, thanks to all the fantastic artists who took part in the initiative, making Reykjavík Trópík 2006 a first class music event.
Thank you all who helped us to make this festival as great as it was!
